The ongoing protests continue. On the N2 highway, near the Cape Town Airport, the road was closed in both directions on Wednesday. Reports indicate that at least two buses were completed destroyed by fire.
The demonstrators burnt tyres in another pre-election protest, the people are not happy with the selection of the African National Congress (ANC) ward Councillor selection.
Bus services will be affected due to the protests. During the protest, two of the four suspects were arrested for robbing motorists.
The police are on high alert this morning and monitoring the situation.
