A 30-year-old woman is in a critical condition after she was shot and wounded on Old North Coast Road and corner Cypress road in Glen Anil in Durban at about 15h30 today.
Netcare 911 spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, said, “Reports from the scene indicate that a man walked up to the woman and shot her while she was waiting for public transport. Netcare911 paramedics managed to stabilise the critically wounded woman on scene before the Red Cross Helicopter was dispatched to the scene to airlift the woman to a nearby hospital for further medical care.The woman was also intubated on scene by a Netcare911 paramedic to assist her to breathe.”
The exact detail to the cause of the shooting will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
