An intelligence driven operation was conducted on 20 May 2016 by the members of the Durban Flying Squad and Organised Crime at Durban Central at Hawk street, Umhlathuzana.
The members acted on information about the suspects in possession of drugs.
The members proceeded to a said place where the new drug called “The Jelly Babies” was being produced. It is still investigated if this drug has been sold to any school children.
Three suspects aged 27 and 39 were arrested for possession of drugs.
A laptop and gas guns were also recovered from the suspects.
They will appear in the Durban Magistrates’ Court soon.
