A suspect man was detained and arrested on Saturday when he tried to jump a wall into a residence in Gladioli Street, Kuilsriver.
Bassett Alarms received a call for assistance from a resident in Gladioli Street, Kuilsriver at 11H49 when she noticed a suspect man had jumped into her premises.
Her dog managed to grab the suspect by his jacket, ripping it apart before the suspect jumped back over the wall.
Armed Response officer Jansen Van Vuuren was dispatched and arrived minutes later.
The officer found the suspect a few houses away matching the description he was given and detained the suspect.
Kuilsriver SAPS members arrived at 12H01 and took the suspect away for further investigation.
