Most parents and students regard Olympiad examinations as a hardship or an extra to their regular education. The reasoning is that it interferes with academics and lowers grades. Here are ten reasons why every student should participate in at least one decent Olympiad test.

Olympiads are more than simply tests; they do much more to bring out the best in a youngster. Attempting and participating in Olympiads inspires kids to strive for greater success. A place in the Olympiad instils confidence in youngsters and their parents.

These also help parents recognize their children’s talents. The Olympiad issues are tricky and conceptual and help students better understand the topic. This ultimately improves the outcome of everyday education. These exams will help you develop a type of analytic thinking for your child that will be useful in any exam, including IIT JEE and other competitive exams. Olympiad helps students test comprehension, knowledge level, and thinking skills. Olympiad not only improves logical thinking and faster brain function but also provides young people with a career path. It will really help students in the long run and ace their growth.

Olympiads provided an excellent platform for even elementary school students to demonstrate their talents at the international, national, or state level. India isn’t doing very well at the International Olympiad, so students aren’t getting much attention. You are talented, but you don’t know the skills you need to take the Olympiad exam. Therefore, taking the Olympiad exams has shaped the habit of accepting challenges from an early age. The Olympiad Exam not only tests the basic subjects taught at school but also promotes children’s analytic thinking skills. It enhances thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and self-confidence, thereby helping the child’s overall development at a young age.

Tips to ace at the IMO Exam

  • Students need to work to improve their analytical and problem-solving skills. We recommend that you run an online tutorial based on simple calculation and solving logical reasoning questions.
  • All questions asked in the exam are based on basic mathematical concepts. Therefore, students need to resolve these questions to clarify the basics. It is beneficial for students to be familiar with the topics of 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades of NCERT.
  • Students must complete the previous year’s questionnaire to understand exam patterns, grade distribution, difficulty, and more. Helps you understand the strengths and weaknesses of your students. Practising these questionnaires can help you find effective techniques for solving your questions in less time.
  • NCERT books help clarify concepts, but students should refer to Mathematical Olympiad books. These books contain comprehensive thinking questions that help students gain deeper insights into the subject and gain an advantage over other participants.

Preparatory Books prepare you for exam questions. Many books are available online and offline in preparation for PRMO, RMO, or IMO.
