Stock theft has hit farmers badly on Keerweder road area in Paarl in the Western cape province of South Africa. More than 40 Animals have already cruelly slaughtered in their Pens. Fast response by Fidelity Adt and DFW crews prevented a further bloodbath.
On 17 December 2021, in Paarl, a sheep farmer on the Keerweder recently joined the DFW and FADT network, as he was badly hit twice already by stock thieves and could not do a lot to stop them.
Now, being part of the well organized DFW fire and rescue and the security partner Fidelity Adt, paid of well, as a fast response and a response in numbers, was unleashed upon the culprits in the middle of the night.
The farmer used the special made app on his phone to communicate with the DFW and ADT response vehicles when he heard and saw his sheep run is despair.
In minutes more than 2 ADT armed response vehicles were on site, followed by 3 DFW teams with heavy equipment and a dog team.
Having lost more than 40 sheep over the last few weeks, slaughtered in the nightly hours in the sheep pens this time only 3 sheep were killed. The culprits this time, still had a lucky escape, but the net tightens.
Cattle and fruit theft have hit farmers extensively.
A general lawlessness has nestled without any real hindrance, except for the FADT and DFW teams and other private security agencies.
Recently two farmers snapped under pressure, and shot a alleged fruit thief, after been tormented for years by fruit theft and the middle finger given by both authorities and fruit thieves alike.
We hope the seriousness of the situation now becomes public and the authorities come on board to assist, before the matter escalates for the worse.
The DFW takes care of Fire and rescue and for the security part sought a great partnership with Fidelity Adt.
