Hijackers wound victim in the Glenroy farming area

A man was shot five times by two hijackers when he stopped his Nissan bakkie next to the R550 between Kliprivier and Nigel in the Glenroy farming area on November 16, 2014 at 10:00.

The road was blocked off by police while paramedics from Heidelberg Medical Volunteers and Lesedi Fire and Rescue tended the injured victim.

Police from all over Gauteng and CPF members soon swarmed the area in search of the hi-jackers.

ER24’s helicopter landed at noon to transport the victim to hospital. According to Constable William Tshabangu, who was first on the scene and joined in the search for the suspects, one hijacker was arrested just after 11:00.
