Since the lockdown was announced by the South African President, Scientology Volunteer Ministers have worked non-stop to assist the country. From having a team of a hundred volunteers, they have now built it to a volunteer group of 350, which includes pastors and volunteers from other faiths who wanted to contribute too what is being created as well.
Altogether, the combined hours of humanitarian work exceed 500,000 hours since lockdown started in March.
Starting first in Gauteng and caring for essential services as a priority, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers have now expanded their activities to almost every province in South Africa.
All at their own cost and to protect and serve South African citizens.
The Public Affairs Director for the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, Sandile Hlayisi, says that what this humanitarian work is generating now in the community is nothing but spectacular. “The unity and solidarity that is being created with other groups, be it with government officials, municipalities, clinics, religious groups and so much more. It is really beautiful to behold.”
Hlayisi stresses that without having studied the Volunteer Ministers technology written by L. Ron Hubbard, nothing would have been the same. He attributes the success of all this work to that.
