On 21 August 2019, members of the Aliwal North Stock Theft Unit, Detectives and Steynsburg Visible Policing received information on the theft of livestock.
They then immediately followed it up at the identified place at West Dene locality and managed to arrest three suspects. The three suspects age 54, 33 and 23 were arrested for possession of suspected livestock. Stock theft and the possession of stolen product or meat.
The Deputy Cluster Commander, Colonel Mpho Rabela commended the members on the prompt response and teamwork that made it possible that the sheep could be returned to its lawful owner.
