AfriForum’s hate speech case against Black First Land First (BLF) and Andile Mngxitama was postponed on 21 August 2019, to 18 and 20 September 2019. This follows the BLF and Mngxitama requesting the postponement to allow their legal team to prepare for the case.

Mngxitama would have acted as legal representation for himself and the BLF until 20 August 2019, but showed up this morning at court with a legal representative. The representative alleged that they did not have sufficient time to prepare for the case. A technical point on media coverage was also raised during the case.
