A human skull was discovered in a dense bush next to a sand pit on Iron Street in Verulam, KZN on a Saturday 10 November 2018.
At approximately 11:21 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene after an employee of the business made the discovery. Upon arrival Reaction Officers were led through a hole in a wire fence separating the bush from the sand pit.
The skull was found several meters below a bridge which services a railway line. One of the front teeth has a silver cap. No other bones were discovered in the vicinity.
An investigation into the discovery has been launched.
