On 30 March 2018, at about 03:00 a house robbery occurred in Seekat Street, Glentana. Three black males, possibly foreigners, with one firearm assaulted the victim and took jewelry and electrical equipment.
The 3 suspects were spotted on the N2 by Great Brak VISPOL who managed to arrest one suspect with stolen property in his possession.
Two suspects fled into the bushes towards the R102 at Mosselbos.The 2 suspects were spotted by the same members of Great Brak VISPOL and the 1 suspect fired at the SAPS members after which the SAPS members returned fire.
The suspects fled then again into the bushes.
K9, MORT and VISPOL continued searching for the suspects in the bushes. The suspects were dressed in dark clothing and are tall and thin and were wearing roadworks reflective jackets at the time.
