Survive mob attack: Toelie 48 and Adele Bouwer, 45 and employee: stabbed by large mob at Rustenburg dump site
One of the stab wounds sustained by Toelie Bouwer (at a Rustenburg dumping site), was more than 10cm deep and missed his lung by mere millimetres.

Rustenburg – March 28 2014 – When Toelie Bouwer 48 and wife Adele, 45, and an employee went to dump rubble on Thursday afternoon, 20 March 2014, they never expected to have to flee for their lives.
At about 14:00 that afternoon, the Bouwer couple and an employee arrived at the Waste Management Centre in Bethlehem Street, just to be informed that the site was full. They were given a note and directed to the Rustenburg Dumping Site near the prison (close to Sunrise Park).
On arrival, the employee started clearing rubble off the back of the bakkie, when he was suddenly surrounded and attacked by a group of about thirty, filthy men in rags.
