Three ‘cash in transit heist’ suspects arrested, Polokwane

In Lebowakgomo outside Polokwane, three most wanted cash in transit heist suspects aged between 24 and 35 years were arrested for possession of stolen motor vehicle which was reported stolen in Rietgat.

They are being detained for cash In transit robbery, murder and attempted murder. One motor vehicle and a firearm were recovered.

These suspects were connected to a series of these crimes which they committed in Maake, Motetema and Kwa-Mhlanga in the Mpumalanga Province whereas in the Maake, Lebowakgomo, Ritavi, Lephalale, Hlogotlou, Mahwelereng, Vuwani, Thohoyandou, Gilead, Musina and Makhado Policing areas.

A total of 215 suspects aged between 21 and 46 years were arrested for a series of crime incidents ranging from burglary, theft, Illegal Immigration, armed robberies to possession of drugs and firearms without license and a number of items such as cellphones, refrigerator, dagga and nyaope were recovered.

The arrested suspects will appear before different Magistrate Courts throughout this Province soon including in the Gauteng and Mpumalanga Provinces.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
