The Police in Thohoyandou have made a major breakthrough when 15 of the 18 firearms that were reported stolen during a Burglary Business at the premises of Prelish Traders and Security Services at Tswinda village, were recovered on the night of 18 January 2018.
The police received an information from community members, reacted swiftly and arrested a 22 year old suspect.
The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has applauded the cooperation between the police and the community that was manifested during the entire investigation and subsequent success.
All recovered firearms will be send for ballistic examination to check if they were used in the commission of crime.
The arrested suspect will appear in Thohoyandou Magistrate Court on Monday 22 January 2018.
