Argument results in fatal stabbing, Leeudoringstad

On 15 January 2018, a suspect is expected to appear in the Leeudoringstad Magistrates’ Court for murder after police in Leeudoringstad were called out to a murder scene on Saturday, 13 January 2018, at about 16:20.

Upon arrival at Bapei section, the body of a 34 year old victim lying in the street with multiple stab wounds. He was certified dead by Emergency Medical and Rescue Services personnel (EMRS).

Further investigations revealed that the deceased and the suspect allegedly had an argument, which lead to a fatal stabbing.

The police managed to follow leads and arrested a 28 year old suspect.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane expressed her appreciation about the cooperation between the police and community members that resulted in the arrest of the suspect. She urged the community to continue to work together with the police, but to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
