105 rolls of copper cable recovered in mine, man arrested

The police in Driekop, received an information about 21 suspects inside the ramshackle mine at Ga Mahlokwane village.

Police reacted swiftly and upon their arrival, the suspects noticed the police and fled to the nearby mountain, however one male suspect (33) was cornered and arrested.

During the arrest, one hundred and five peeled rolls of copper cable with an estimated value of R600 000-00 was recovered.

The suspect might be linked to more cases and more arrests are expected.

The police investigations are still continuing.
