A well-known artist is in a serious condition in the Medi Clinic hospital’s intensive care unit after she was attacked on May 20, 2015 in her home near Universitas, Bloemfontein.
According to Captain Chaka Marope, police spokesperson, a friend of Thelma Crous (80) found her.
“The friend said he found her on the floor. Her head was bleeding profusely,” said Marope.
Amanda Appelgryn, hospital spokesperson says Crous sustained severe head injuries, facial, soft tissue injuries and many bruises.
She was taken to hospital on Wednesday just before 21:00 by an ER24 ambulance and immediately admitted.
“She was awake but disoriented. She could not really talk, “said Appelgryn.
Marope said a case of house robbery was being investigated.
No one has been arrested.
