Another zombie protest that is sweeping across South Africa. The protest on the R59 brought the highway to a standstill, it’s terrible and people are annoyed.
The highway is closed in both directions and the police are having a difficult time trying to clear the road. The police confirmed that the protest near the squatter camp and that is an ongoing operation. The area is in chaos and the police urged people to avoid using the road.
Trucks have been stopped. Another day of riots in South Africa. Burn down everything, as the angry protesters continue to demonstrate their frustrations with the African National Congress (ANC) government. The road is barricaded and protesters are still throwing stones, rocks and burning tyres. Very annoyed squatter camp dwellers, who are not stopping their demonstration. It is yet again, the people who like zombies continue to protest by burning, and destroying the inadequate, damaged and almost non-existent infrastructure. Whatever will be left after all these zombies protests?
The R59 protest is a developing story and it is unclear at this time what the protest is about, and the South African Police remain committed to keep the public updated on the situation.
