A man is in a serious condition following an alleged attempted hijacking on Thursday at a school in Mondeor, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the vehicle in the parking area. The man was lying on the ground.
Paramedics were informed that the man was waiting for his child when he was approached by suspects.
The suspects had apparently tried to hijack the man and he tried to defend himself. He was then beaten and items from the vehicle were apparently taken from the vehicle by the suspects before they fled.
Upon assessment of the man it was found that he was in a serious condition. He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Investigations were underway.
