Farm couple seriously assaulted, kidnapped, nothing stolen
Willing to kill a farmer for a bag of fruit

Usually, during a farm attack, suspects will not only assault or murder the victims but steal valuable goods, yet in a strange twist of events, Mr. and Mrs. Keiser were seriously assaulted, kidnapped and nothing was stolen. It was an act of terrorizing the farmer and his wife and intentionally inflicting physical injury.

On Christmas day December 25, around 21H00 Mr. and Mrs. Keiser were at home on their Wolhuterskop farm situated in the Lejweleputswa District, Tokologo Municipality, Hertzogville, Free State when two armed suspects entered the premises.

The two suspects assaulted the couple with a knobkerrie and forced them into their vehicle. The suspects drove away from the farm. Mrs. Keiser managed to escape by jumping out of the moving vehicle in the Boshoff area. Mr. Keiser was “dropped off” 10km outside Boshoff.

After alerting the farming community and police, both victims were taken to the hospital and treated for serious injuries.

Later that night, the Keiser vehicle was found abandoned 20km outside Hertzogville. No arrests have been made and the suspects are still at large.

The suspects did not steal anything from the farm. The police will continue with the investigation.
