Farm attack between Groblersdal and Marble Hall

Farm attack between Groblersdal and Marble Hall

Eugene du Toit, a farmer from Limpopo was attacked on April 5, 2015 at approximately 03:00 on his farm in Wolwekraal, opposite Raasblaar Lodge, between Groblersdal and Marble Hall.

It seems that the farmer was alone at home at the time of the attack? He was tied up and goods were looted from the house. An unknown number of suspects fled from the scene with the farmer’s white VW Transporter van through a hole which was cut in the game fence.

WIPS response vehicles, Marble Hall SOS response, Marble Hall Neighborhood Watch members and others, responded in a flash to the emergency calls.
However, no suspects could be arrested.

There was earlier in the night also an attempted farm attack about 5 km from there. It was however, successfully foiled by members of AKSKA.

“This, once again, confirm our assertions that there is more than one planned attack at the same time in a certain area. If an attack does not materialize, the attackers only move to their next target”, said Chris du Preez, manager of the security company Loskop Vallei SOS (Special Operations Solutions).

Du Preez urged farmers in that area to be on the alert at all times.
