Elderly man assaulted and robbed on his way to his farm 
Farm worker and wife brutally assaulted

A 79-year-old East London nursery owner, Gerald Muller was attacked by four suspects on Sunday, February 26 around 9 am in the morning.

Muller an active member in the Floradale Nursery, an 80-year-old family business was attacked in his bakkie on a road close to his small farm outside Beacon Bay when he ran out of fuel.

Apparently, the suspects dragged him from his bakkie, punched him, kicked him, pushed him to the ground, and dragged him by his legs, causing his knee to dislocate.

Muller was rushed to a hospital and recovering. He will have to undergo an operation later on in the week.

The suspects fled with R500 cash.

The police are investigating the incident.
