A couple was attacked by five gunmen early Wednesday morning November 25, 2015 on their farm near Biesiesvlei in North West.

Sgt. Kealeboga Molala, police spokesman, said the armed men apparently gained access to the farmhouse about 04:00 through a window. The suspects then woke the 64-year-old man and his 58-year-old wife.

“They pointed firearms at the couple and took them to the nearby farm shop where they robbed them of an unknown amount of cash and five guns that belonged to the victims.”

According to Molala the man was hit over the head with a gun and he sustained minor injuries. The suspects then fled in the victim’s Ford Ranger bakkie. The vehicle was later found about 100m from the scene.

Nobody has been arrested and the police are investigating.
