Women Unite in Bryanston for a Transformative Day of Empowerment and Networking

Recently, over a hundred women from diverse backgrounds gathered at The Campus in Bryanston for an inspiring Women Empowerment and Networking event hosted by the Wise Women Empowerment Club. The event aimed to motivate women to take control of their destinies, achieve financial independence, and foster personal and professional growth through a day filled with knowledge-sharing, skill-building, and meaningful connections.

The day kicked off with Nosisa Sipambo, a Paediatric Specialist, taking the helm as the MC. Her warmth and charisma immediately set the tone, creating an atmosphere of inclusivity and mutual support. “Today is about unlocking the extraordinary potential that lies within each of us,” Nosisa remarked in her opening speech. “We are here to inspire, uplift, and empower one another to reach new heights.”

The event featured a lineup of accomplished female speakers who brought a wealth of experience and insight to the audience. Loren Guner of Genius Ink SA opened the day with a compelling session on unlocking the inner genius of women entrepreneurs. Drawing on the principles of Genius Inc., an organization founded by American innovator and humanitarian Bob Duggan, Loren emphasized the importance of recognizing and cultivating one’s unique strengths. She shared practical strategies for overcoming self-doubt, breaking free from limiting beliefs, and building a thriving business. Her session was based on research by clinical psychologist Dr. Alfred Barrios, who identified 24 characteristics of geniuses, highlighting the fact that anyone, regardless of their background, can develop these traits to succeed.

“The genius is not in the circumstances you were born into, but in the courage to think differently, act decisively, and persevere relentlessly,” Loren explained, encouraging participants to embrace their potential and strive for greatness.

Malony Marneweck, Founder and CEO of TLC Learning Center Kyalami, captivated the audience with her workshop on overcoming procrastination. Using the effective tool of organizing, she demonstrated how small, consistent changes in daily habits could lead to significant improvements in productivity and goal achievement. Her interactive session was filled with actionable tips on time management, prioritization, and maintaining focus amidst life’s many demands. “We all have the power to take control of our time and make every moment count,” Malony declared, urging women to shed procrastination and step boldly into their futures.

Cheryl Brockie, a former Miss Port Elizabeth, screenwriter, and multimillion-dollar business owner, took to the stage with a talk on building unshakeable confidence in any endeavor. She drew from the writings of L. Ron Hubbard, particularly his insightful article on the “Levels of Exchange,” which offers a practical framework for navigating the complexities of business and personal interactions. Cheryl emphasized that true confidence stems from understanding these levels and applying them in everyday situations. “Confidence is built on knowledge and preparation,” Cheryl asserted. “It is about showing up, even when you’re afraid, and choosing to face challenges head-on. As L. Ron Hubbard taught, knowing where you stand in any exchange is key to creating fair and prosperous relationships.”

Beyond the workshops and speeches, the event also offered ample opportunities for networking and collaboration. Participants were encouraged to engage in meaningful conversations, share their stories, and explore potential partnerships. The energy in the room was palpable, as women exchanged ideas, celebrated their successes, and pledged to support one another in their respective journeys.

“It was incredible to see so many women come together to share, learn, and grow,” said Nosisa Sipambo, reflecting on the event’s success. “This event demonstrated the power of community and support in helping women achieve their fullest potential. When women unite, they become unstoppable forces of change.”

As the event drew to a close, attendees left not only with new skills and insights but also with a renewed sense of confidence, purpose, and determination. The Wise Women Empowerment Club announced plans to expand its reach with more workshops, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities in the coming months. The club aims to foster a thriving community where every woman feels empowered to pursue her dreams and contribute to society.

“We are committed to creating spaces where women can learn, grow, and inspire each other,” said Amanda-Lee Parkins, Marketing Officer of the Wise Women Empowerment Club. “This is just the beginning of a movement that will touch lives across South Africa. We invite all women to join us on this empowering journey.”
