A farm attack took place on 3 February 2019, at Mooinooi on a smallholding , Wonderkop, in the North West. The violent attack took place at 18:00 when Albert Maritz (19), who heard glass breaking and went to investigate, was attacked, assaulted and stabbed several time by two armed attackers. The attackers fled and the teenager managed to summon assistance after calling his father, he was admitted to Andrew Saffy Memorial hospital.
The attack was reported to Marikana SAPS who are investigating, there have been no arrests.
