
A student at Goldfields TVET College in Welkom, Free State province has been brutally murdered. The body of 21 year old Naledi Lethoba, from Bothaville, was found in an open field in Dagbreek, Welkom and was identified by her parents. Her breasts had been cut off and a knife was stuck in her neck and her body was partially burnt. Police in the Free State described the murder as cruel and disturbing.
A 19 year old fellow student was arrested on Tuesday 28 May 2019 and briefly appeared in court on Thursday 30 May 2019. The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
