Sixteen injured in a taxi collision on the R59

Sixteen people have been injured after a bakkie and taxi collided on the R59, Kliprivier this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07:25 along with many other emergency service providers including the Fire Department. ER24 tended to two women in their 30s who required Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported to a private hospital in Alberton for further care. Provincial EMS treated and transported two patients and two other private services transported the other 12 patients to the same hospital in Alberton.

Metro Police was also on scene for further investigation.
