Mandeni Local Municipality officially launched its flagship marque event, the Mandeni Raft Race, the event is poised for a grand comeback and is a cherished community event, known for its vibrant display of teamwork and craftsmanship.
Speaking at the official launch, His Worship the Mayor, Cllr. Thabani Mdlalose, lauded the events contribution in uplifting Mandeni economically and as a tourism destination.
"This event will help us in our bid to being a self sustainable economic hub by 2030 and solidifying Mandeni as a tourism destination. Our BnBs, Shuttle services, retails and various other economic sectors will gain massively through this event." Said Mdlalose before adding that Mandeni is a home to everyone and a hidden gem in the tourism space that everyone needs to explore….
