Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the N1 in Kraaifontein, Cape Town.
Reports indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control, resulting in a rollover.
Medics assessed the scene and found that seven of the passengers had sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
One person, an adult female was freed from the vehicle using hydraulic tools.
All the patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by various ambulance services to the hospital for further care.
