On Sunday evening, IPSS Medical Rescue, together with IPSS Search & Rescue, responded to a call for help after 4 bathers had gotten into difficulty while swimming at Clarke Bay in Ballito
Fortunately, an off duty KDM lifeguard, Linda Hlophe, was nearby and immediately responded to the call. On his own and in the dark, he managed to safely bring all 4 bathers to shore.
The four adults were assessed on scene by IPSS Medical Rescue and were found to be in good health.
A big shout out to Ballito Lifeguard, Linda, for his incredible bravery and excellent work this evening, his quick response ensured that these family members will all be going home tonight….
