Fortunate escape from injury in a vehicle rollover at Trenance Park, Verulam

A 38-year-old Durban Solid Waste (DSW) employee escaped injury after his bakkie overturned on Inanda Road in the vicinity of Trenance Park, Verulam this afternoon (Thursday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 15:17 and found the Nissan Hardbody lying on its roof. According to other motorists who stopped to assist, the driver of the bakkie was travelling in the direction of Verulam when he attempted to overtake two vehicles ahead of him. He lost control of his vehicle which veered off the road and overturned.

The bakkie was extensively damaged in the accident.
