Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N1 North bound near New Road.
Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi and a SUV were involved in a collision.
A total on Nineteen people sustained varying degrees of injuries and once stabilized were transported to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
