Fifteen people were injured this afternoon when a taxi overturned several times in the Table Mountain area in Pietermaritzburg.
Shortly after 2pm on Saturday afternoon, paramedics from ER24 and other services arrived on the scene where they found the taxi still lying on its roof. Upon further assessment paramedics found that the patients sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated on the scene and later transported by ER24 and other services through to nearby hospitals for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene.
