Midlands EMS Howick crew were dispatched to R617 Merrivale for a motor vehicle accident.
On arrival, it was found that two people were entrapped in the vehicle, requiring urgent medical care and specialized rescue equipment.
Both patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further care.
Authorities were in attendance.
