The R30 million pledge by the ANC deputy president, David Mabuza, to assist farmers in the severe drought areas of the Northern Cape is hardly a drop in the bucket and also has not materialised.
In South Africa, farming is the biggest commercial source of food. Farmers feed our nation on a daily basis. Drought in South Africa is busy taking its toll, farmers are giving up, crying for help just to keep their animals alive for a bit longer.
