Western Cape Flying Squad members bring suspects to book

The vigilance and quick response of members attached to the Western Cape Flying Squad are often too much for criminals to handle, and they end up in our detention facilities sooner than they expect. This is what three suspects aged 33, 38 and 40 were taught last night at around 21:45 when they were apprehended in possession of a hijacked Nissan Pathfinder. The Flying Squad patrol spotted the vehicle in Athlone which had been reported hijacked in Parow earlier, and following a high speed chase which did not end well for the suspects, they were arrested.

This morning at around 02:30 the same Flying Squad members noticed two men on a scooter in Athlone under suspicious circumstances and decided to pull them over. Instead of stopping, the two suspects decided to make an attempt to outrun the high performance vehicle of SAPS, but failed miserably when they lost control and crashed.
