At 08:00 am, #UEMS was called for a crash along the R617 in the vicinity of Nkumba Location.
On arrival, paramedics found a single bakkie that had lost control on a sharp bend and rolled multiple times.
#UEMS paramedics found two occupants that had been travelling on the back of the bakkie, ejected, lying approximately 10 meters from the vehicle. Unfortunately, they had succumbed to their injuries before EMS arrival.
Another three occupants were entrapped in the cab of the bakkie and were found to be in a critical condition.
Specialized equipment was used to extricate the occupants where they were stabilized by UEMS advanced life support paramedics and transported to a nearby facility by #UEMS & #EMRS for the further care they required.
