A three-year-old child was struck by a passing truck while being carried by her mother on the M27, Waterloo – KZN this afternoon (Monday). At approximately 17:19, the mother and child were driven to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) HQ by a passerby who stopped to assist.
The female explained that she had crossed the road when a truck veered into the emergency lane. The side of the vehicle struck the child on her head and feet.
The baby sustained minor injuries but was transported to hospital for a medical evaluation. The driver of the truck did not stop to assist….
