Thirteen people were left injured this morning following a taxi rollover on the N1 highway near the Allendale offramp in Midrand.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 07h05nto find the taxi lying on its side in the middle of the highway. Several passengers were found seated around the taxi.
Local authorities began to divert traffic on the busy highway while medics tended to the patients.
On assessment, medics found that thirteen people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
Medics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further care.
Traffic was heavily affected due to the incident.
