Taxi and car collide leaving fourteen injured in Plumstead

Fourteen people were left injured this morning, including a week old child, when a car crashed into the side of a taxi on Main Road in Plumstead, Western Cape.

At approximately 08h30, ER24 paramedics along with the Metro and Fire Services, arrived on the scene to find the two vehicles in the middle of the road. Several people were found inside the taxi while several others were walking around on the scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found that fourteen people, including a week-old baby girl, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were found on the scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations….
