3 Suspects arrested by #JMPD #RegionB Operations officers for kidnapping & possession of dangerous weapons at Jan Smuts Avenue & The Valley in Westcliff.
Whilst conducting a routine roadside check, officers stopped a white minibus taxi.
While inspecting the vehicle, a male passenger started screaming for help, officers responded, & the passenger notified the officers that he was being kidnapped. 1x of the suspect fled the scene leaving behind a firearm (which was found to be a replica firearm).
The 3 other males in the vehicle were apprehended & 2 dangerous weapons (knives) were recovered. The suspects were immediately placed under arrest & detained at Parkview SAPS….
