Six foreign nationals arrested for robbery and drug dealing

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) drug unit members responded to a tip off on Tuesday 21 February 2023 about a group of male suspects who were busy robbing local spaza shops in Hammanskraal.

The team managed to apprehend four Malawian suspects.

The suspects were found with stolen property and unlicenced firearm. It was also discovered that they are illegal immigrants. The four were then arrested.

On the same day, the drug unit members conducted an operation in pretoria North which led to the arrest of two Nigerian suspects for dealing in drugs.

They were found with crystal meth and cat with an estimated street value of R30 000.

All suspects will appear in court soon.

Well done to the team. The TMPD will continue to fight crime in Tshwane.
