Seven People Injured when a bakkie and a bus Collided in Verulam, KZN

Paramedics from Reaction Unit South Africa treated seven (7) injured passengers following a collision between a bus and a bakkie this morning in Verulam – KZN.

At approx 05:32 (Monday) the RUSA Operation Center received multiple calls from a motorist reporting a collision on the Oakford Road near Redcliffe. Upon arrival

Reaction Officers found a bus lying in a bush & a white Nissan MP 200 on the side of the road. The injured were treated on scene and transported to Osindisweni Hospital.

The driver of the bakkie was arrested for driving under the influence. It was later established that he was unauthorized to use his company bakkie & whilst speeding with two female passengers, he had crossed over on the oncoming lane & crashed into the bus.
