SAPS set up a roadblock in Evaton where suspects have been arrested for various crimes

Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela continues to lead from the front at a roadblock in Evaton where suspects have been arrested for various crimes such as of drunk and driving, possession of suspected stolen vehicles, possession of ammunition, and contravening the Immigration Act.

The operation started with the first phase whereby the detectives in the province conducted overnight suspect raiding operations.

The team managed to trace and arrest 672 suspects who have been on the run after committing crimes that include murder, attempted murder, rape, robbery, and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
