A woman in her 50s has died and three others have been injured in a head-on collision between two light-motor vehicles on the R716 outside Deneysville in the Free State this morning.
ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 11:35 along with SAPS, Free State Traffic, and two other private emergency services. The driver of the BMW, a man in his 50s, as well as the rear-seat passenger, a woman in her 50s, were found having suffered serious injuries and were treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported to hospital for further care by one of the other private services on the scene.
The driver of the Hyundai, a man in his late 30s/early 40s, was found to have suffered moderate injuries and treated and transported to hospital by the other private service on-scene. The front-seat passenger from the BMW, a woman also in her 50s, was found lying under the door of the vehicle, having self-extricated. She was in critical condition.
