Following numerous security engagements and briefings by security role players responsible for safeguarding the upcoming #BRICS Summit, Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele and National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), General Fannie Masemola will on Monday, 21 August 2023 address a multi-disciplinary parade at Innesfree Park in Sandton, JHB.
The 15th BRICS Summit will be hosted at the Sandton International Convention Centre (ICC) from 22 to 24 August 2023.
The parade comprises of members from SAPS, South African National Defence Force, National Traffic, Gauteng Traffic, Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and Emergency Management Services (EMS).
The Summit which will be hosted in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 22 August 2023, is expected to be attended by over 50 Heads of State, scores of government representatives as well as local and international dignitaries and summit delegates.
