A house on Evergreen Circle, Oaklands – KZN was extensively damaged after an attached storeroom caught alight this afternoon (Tuesday).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Center received multiple calls from residents in the area reporting the fire. RUSA Members were immediately dispatched and arrived on the scene at approximately 17:23.
A storeroom attached to the house was engulfed in flames. Reaction Officers utilized garden hoses in an attempt to prevent the fire from spreading to a neighbouring property.
The Ethekwini Fire Department arrived shortly thereafter and doused the blaze. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was not established.
