Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the N14, in the direction of Krugersdorp, in Nietgedacht, Lanseria.
Reports indicate that a truck, two cars, and three bakkies were involved in a collision.
On the scene with Netcare 911 was Emer-G-Med ems.
Medics assessed the scene and found that four people had sustained serious injuries and another had sustained minor injuries.
Once stabilised by emergency care practitioners, all the patients were transported to the hospital for further care.
