The Fezile Dabi District Management led by the Deputy District Commissioner Brigadier Mapulane Mbeloane steered a High Density Operation and Roadblock on the N3, Villiers.
Today the management hosted their DCCF meeting at Villiers with the purpose to introduce and welcome new Constables who have been placed at Villiers Highway Patrol. Furthermore to also create an awareness on truck hijackings that have caused a stir around the District to truck drivers and motorists.
Immediately after the meeting the management took off and ensured their presence was felt on the Highway.
The operation was joined in by external stakeholders such as the Department of Home Affairs, Provincial Traffic, N3 Road Incident Management Service and Community Patrollers.
During the operation three persons were arrested for contravening the Immigration Act, two were arrested for being in possession of drugs, nine traffic fines were issued and one fine for illegal cigarettes.
